Feeling inspired by SF Chronicle's teacher gift story? ❤️
There are so many ways to support SFUSD students and teachers.
Because when we all give what we can—together—we show our students, teachers, and schools that they truly matter to this city.
Here's just a few ways to help today:
📚Update 1st & 2nd grade classroom libraries with learn-to-read books
Many 1st and 2nd grade classrooms need refreshed libraries with “learn-to-read” books. These special books help students practice reading skills, and strengthen what they’re learning in class.
$2500 adds a set of learn-to-read books for a classroom of 6 yr olds.
(total need $250,000)
💻Laptops to learn
SFUSD is overdue for a tech refresh. Help replace broken and missing laptops for 5,000 students, 400 paraeducators, and 720 teachers. We’ve all had tech meltdowns—help a student or teacher get back up and running.
$500 provides a student with a new Chromebook, fully-loaded with learning tools.
(total need $3.6 million)
🏃🏾♀️A uniform or a sports bra can be the difference between a girl participating in sports or sitting on the sidelines.
But many students and teams lack essentials, from sports bras to uniforms to footballs. Open the door for more students—especially girls—to join the team.
$50 provides a student with essential athletic gear like a sports bra, helping them participate with confidence.
🏳️🌈Belonging and PRIDE in elementary schools
At a time when San Francisco’s values of inclusivity are being tested, support Rainbow Clubs in 35 elementary schools—helping students learn kindness, understanding, and belonging from the very start.
$1,000 supports one elementary school’s Rainbow Club budget for a full year of rainbow-filled, age-appropriate belonging activities.
(total need $35,000)
This is our city. These are our schools.
Be a champion for our students today.
